Single Origin Coffee Description

Located in the centre of the Cerrado Mineiro region, Sucuri Farm is owned and managed by Danilo Barbosa and his family. Originally purchased by Danilo’s father, Jairo, Sucuri Farm is a tribute to the relentless efforts of the Barbosa family, using their savings as gas station owners and attendants to venture into agriculture in the 1980s.

Sucuri Farm sprawls across a 2,000 hectare landscape meticulously balancing productivity and environmental preservation. The success of this farm is rooted in its holistic approach to responsible land management, innovation and quality. Under Danilo’s leadership, the farm acknowledges the vital role of terroir, altitude, and climate play in producing quality coffee.

The family has set aside just a quarter of their land for coffee production, with over 700 hectares allocated for legally certified preserved areas. This commitment extends to embracing initiatives such as tree planting for erosion prevention and beekeeping for pollination. This delicate balance between production and conservation reflects the profound commitment to environmental stewardship.

"The Sucuri Farm embodies our commitment to sustainability, excellence, and family legacy," says Danilo Barbosa. "Every acre of land tells a story of resilience, hard work, and a profound respect for nature. We are not merely farmers; we are stewards of the land, entrusted with its preservation for generations to come.
