Our latest coffee offering hails from the high-altitude region of West Arsi in Oromia, Ethiopia. Grown at over 2,000 metres, this coffee benefits from the area’s rich red soils and subtropical climate, resulting in a beautifully clean and elegant flavour profile. Our coffee originates from the mountainous region of West Arsi in Oromia, where the elevation exceeds 2,000 metres above sea level. This high altitude, combined with the area's rich, dark red soils and subtropical climate, creates ideal conditions that typically result in a coffee with a remarkably clean and elegant flavour profile.
The Mundayo Washing Station serves about 750 smallholder producers in the local area. The farmers deliver their cherries to the washing station, where they’re sorted, processed and left to dry on raised beds for up to 21 days. While this coffee can't be traced back to a single variety or farm, it consists of heirloom varietals native to Ethiopia.
In the cup, this naturally processed Ethiopian coffee delivers everything you'd expect—vibrant blueberry and strawberry notes, a lively melon and pawpaw acidity, and a lingering dark chocolate sweetness.
