CoffeeSock filters are a reusable alternative to paper filters and nylon sacks. Cotton absorbs some of the oils released from coffee beans, yet allows acids to pass through to the cup.
The resulting brew is clear, crisp, rich and robust with all the desirable acidity of paper brewed coffee without the paper taste, and all of the richness of plunger coffee without the heavy oiliness! We recommend grinding slightly finer than you normally would with a paper filter.
CoffeeSock filters are made with certified organic cotton, which - unlike paper - imparts no flavour on the finished brew. It's also 90% cellulose, which is a tasteless and odourless compound that is insoluble in water.
CoffeeSock is a family owned company, established in 2011 and based in the USA. Their filters are made in Austin, Texas. All filters are sewn and packaged by happy human beings making a fair and living wage. Today, their cotton is grown in Texas, India and Pakistan. All is GOTS certified Organic. GOTS also monitors labor practices and working conditions.
