Fazenda Guariroba is a family-run farm, currently managed by Homero Aguiar Paiva. Spanning 547 hectares, with 203 hectares dedicated to coffee, the farm provides full-time work for nearly 30 employees. Homero’s expertise extends to natural, pulped natural, and anaerobic processing methods, and he continuously experiments with his production with a wide to push the boundaries of flavour and innovation.
A fifth-generation coffee producer, Homero’s deep connection to the land and commitment to cultivating exceptional coffee are clear in every cup. The family’s coffee legacy dates back to the 19th century, when patriarch João Ferreira began growing coffee in Santo Antônio do Amparo. Inspired by his dedication, Homero, a trained civil engineer, chose to continue the family history.
Homero acquired part of the historic Fazenda Cachoeira from his uncle, Fernando Paiva. Alongside his brother, agronomist Renato Paiva, Homero began planting coffee at Fazenda Guariroba, named in honour of their maternal grandparents' land. Today, the farm is a family affair, with support from his sister, Elisa Paiva, and brother-in-law, Gabriel Lamounier. Together, they balance tradition with innovation, always striving for excellence.
