The results are in for our latest Good Coffee Doing Good partnership… We are ecstatic to announce that we have raised a whopping $10,341 which will go directly towards funding Agency Projects.
*Numbers have been derived from sales in both Melbourne and Noosa across wholesale and retail.
Agency Projects is based in Melbourne’s Collingwood Yards, neighbouring one of our Padre Coffee stores. Agency’s mission is to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, culture and people and create inspiring networks of giving to support programs of cultural significance. They do this through the facilitation of bespoke learning opportunities, exhibitions, events, publications, residencies and cultural experiences for audiences in Australia and abroad.

Our donation will be funding program’s like the Ngurra Kutjuwarra (Together on Country) project. This project, in partnership with Warlayirti Artists in Balgo, provides pathways for First Nations artists to journey back to their ancestral Country. Such projects have proven to have a number of positive impacts for them, their families and the wider communities.
We are especially proud of this partnership as it is the biggest fundraising campaign we have run through our Good Coffee Doing Good campaign to date. Our GCDG is a project-based fundraising program that utilises the power of the specialty-coffee-loving collective to create positive social and environmental impacts.
It is also the first campaign to introduce Golden Rule, the first coffee blend to be dedicated to GCDG. It has been truly gratifying to see our customers responding so positively to Golden Rule’s sweet and complex flavour. Through sales of Golden Rule, we donated $4 for every kilo sold across our retail and wholesale operations.
Thank you to everyone who participated in GCDG’s partnership with Agency Projects.
Whole Beans: Best within four to six weeks of roasting. Properly stored beans can last up to eight weeks if stored right.
Ground Coffee: Best within one to two weeks after grinding.
The best method is an opaque, airtight container stored in a cool, dark place at room temperature. The back of the pantry is the perfect spot!
In the bag is fine if there is a valve and you’ll use it in the next two weeks. If storing for any longer, transfer coffee from its bag to an airtight jar for better protection against air and light.
Freezing coffee can extend its freshness if stored correctly. Ensure the beans are in airtight portions and only defrost what you need.
Freezing won’t ruin the flavour if the beans are properly sealed. Exposure to moisture and air, however, can degrade their taste.
Padre Coffee acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their continued connections to land, sea and community.
We pay our respect to Elders past, present and future, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
