The newest product in our Good Coffee Doing Good range is an espresso blend named Golden Rule! Here we’d like to introduce you to the coffee, and our very first initiative in partnership with Agency Projects.
Coffee blends typically form the core of any coffee offering, so it’s a fairly rare and extremely exciting occasion when we get to design and release a new one. Of course, with multiple blends on offer, it pays for each to have its own unique and distinct identity, and this time we had a very motivating brief to fulfil.
Introducing Golden Rule, the newest member of our blend family and the first blend to bear the Good Coffee Doing Good mark!
The driver for this product came from the desire to complement our existing program of global initiatives at coffee growing origins by supporting our local community here in Australia.
Through sales of this coffee we’ll be raising funds for some really meaningful organisations and projects, donating $4 for each kilo sold across our retail and wholesale operations.
Golden Rule is unique not only for its impact objectives but also for its flavour profile and composition. Comprising coffees from Guatemala and Papua New Guinea in equal amounts, the blend comes together to form a delightfully sweet and complex cup profile with a big, buttery body and orange acidity.
In terms of flavour profile, the blend displays stone fruits - plum, peach, and apricot - along with macadamia, dark chocolate and maple syrup sweetness.
Golden Rule is deliciously versatile, presenting as a big bodied espresso with subtle, soft acidity. The addition of milk draws out the sweetness and creaminess.

Our first partnership is with Agency Projects - an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander not-for-profit organisation. Agency Projects works with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia to identify, develop and sustain initiatives that promote, celebrate and support cultural practice, allow Indigenous leadership to thrive, and ultimately feature strong participation and economic opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Agency was established in late 2019 in response to a need expressed by cultural leaders, which resonates with those who care deeply about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, art and Country.
They exist not only to establish meaningful new connections between Indigenous-led initiatives and social and ethical giving, but also to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, cultures and peoples and create inspiring networks of giving to support programs of cultural significance. They do this through the facilitation of bespoke learning opportunities, exhibitions, events, publications, residencies and cultural experiences for audiences in Australia and abroad.
