After a few mods and some long days over the weekend - we installed the Slayer in our Brunswick East store on Sunday Night then went out for a couple of celebratory drinks.
The following day with a bit of hang over, and an extremely worrying lack of steam, I made calls to Coffee Supreme (official techs for slayer) and St AlI (melbourne agents for slayer) only to discover (thanks Justin) that our pre-brew temp was set lower (we're still not sure how we did it) than the steam boiler temp.
Problem solved and a few red faces we went back to the serious business of tuning this machine. After two years on our customised Synessos this is truly a dream to work on.
