Welcome back ! Hope everyone had a great holiday. Padre is open again in Brunswick and roasting up a storm, some new coffees coming through in the next few weeks include the Fair Trade Organic Dominican Republic Barahona (think chocolate with chocolate centred chocolatey goodness), Fair Trade Organic Ethiopian Limu still to be cupped this week - and El Salvador 'Himalaya'. Look out for Padre in your area Padre is now pouring at the South Melbourne market (market days wed, fri, sat & sun) check out Sweet Agora - look for the big plasma screens at the end of the deli isle with shots being poured and some hip baristas hooking up Padre & single origins for the locals. Crue - in South Yarra - is pouring a HUGE range of single origins alongside Padre - look for the shiny Synesso and line of Roburs disappearing into the distance, these guys have given it all for their coffee and are pouring magnificent shots - beauty and truth. Daddy's Girl our bronze medal (golden bean) winning blend is now pouring in East Melbourne - check out Europa Cellars on Wellington Parade opposite the G - they also have a good deli range and some very fine wine. No cupping this Saturday - house keeping on the go - but back into our usual Saturday 2.30pm cuppings from next week - Jan 24th. |
